(14/08/1950) Remains of hut circle, much despoiled. The diameter of the hut circle is 5.0m and a large amount of the wall material lies in its hollow centre. Entrance not apparent.

(27/10/1980) On the west slope of Great Staple Tor is a circular depression 5.2m in diameter and 0.7m deep. There are a few natural disposed boulders but no evidence of walling or of any entrance. The appearance is that of an industrial or military work rather than a hut circle (see ground photograph).
