Three of five mounds, turf covered, suspected to be only peat hags by Lady Fox (1953).
(11/09/1978) In a flat area of peat diggings only that at SX 55247801 is now visible as an elliptical shaped peaty mound, 10.0m by 6.0m and 0.9m high. Vague amorphous mounds exist in abundance and the general appearance, condition and position of this mound would suggest a peat hag which accords with Lady Fox's interpretation.

Two barrow-like mounds lie in boggy ground about halfway between the barrows on the ridge between Wedlake Combe and the Walkham Valley (SX 57 NW 27) and the Langstone stone circle (SX 57 NE 13).
One was cut through and consisted entirely of peaty soil without any stones. They did not appear to be barrows but the workmen did not consider them to be the remains of old peat stacks. (T Devon Ass 31 1899 153)
