Farmhouse, disused at time of survey(1986). Circa early C17 with a C19 outshut. Cob and stone rubble; slate roof (formerly thatched), gable at ends; right end stack, rear left lateral stacks. Plan: Interior not inspected at survey but a ground plan and description by Hulland, dated 1976, suggests that the early C17 arrangement was a single depth block with 2 principal rooms, one on either side of a lobby entrance with a pantry to the rear of the lobby. The principal room was the larger right hand room with a stair adjacent to the stack and rising behind it and a doorway into the pantry. In the C19 an outshut containing service rooms was added and, possibly at the same date, a new stair was inserted in the former pantry facing the entrance. Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical front with 2 first floor and 3 ground floor windows; gabled porch on front to left of centre. Fenestration of 2- and 3-light small pane casements. Interior: Described by Hulland as having plank and muntin screens flanking what is now the entrance passage. Ground floor rooms have deeply-chamfered step-stopped cross beams; crank-arched doorframes to stair in right hand room and doorway to former pantry. Roof: said to be 'A' frame main trusses. Hulland, Charles, "Chiltern, Morebath", survey record including ground plan dated 1976 deposited in West Country studies library.
