Haslam, C., Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV160480.

During wwii a concrete blockhouse was built 50 yards from kingswear castle. The landmark trust intend to convert it to a bedroom. Original bunks have been removed (haslam).

This site is probably an XDO post, from where mines in the river would have been detonated by remote control.

Site visited on 14th October 1995. Two storey military building with wide slits on upper floor, seaward side. Well maintained, converted to holiday accommodation.
