Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, SX87SE2 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV349014.

Site visit 6th December 1952. Displayed in a case at WBB offices at 18 Courtenay Park, Newton Abbot. Pottery neck and handle of jug. Paste fired to light brown of of fairly fine texture. Sole decoration is slightly raised band at narrowest part of neck with small roulette pattern imprinted on it. Handle has been twisted into a barley sugar pattern. Appears to be medieval.
