Branigan, K., 1983, A Cypriot Hook-Tang Weapon from Devon, 125-8 (Article in Serial). SDV11792.
Cypriot hook-tang weapon ploughed up 'near Torrington' circa 1950. Length 38.5 centimetres (when tip straightened), with 8.4 centimetres tang, 3.2 centimetres wide shoulder, 0.8 centimetre maximum thickness. The weapon is in generally good condition, though the tip is bent and the edges worn. Identified as late Cypriot I, circa 1650-1400 BC. May indicate Bronze Age trade contact with the Mediterranean, but provenance not secure. Other details: Fig 2.
