Pillbox between the railway line and the sewage works. Now almost completely overgrown. Part of the Axminster fortified area on the Second World War Taunton Stop Line constructed in 1940.

Wills lists a polygonal, mixed construction, west facing pillbox at SY289977.

Pillbox almost completely overgrown. Correctly placed to be part of the 'Taunton Stop Line'.

Site visit 13th October 1993. Site viewed from Axminster bypass. Same condition as before.

Site visit 22nd December 1993. Rear of pillbox viewed (south-east side). Flat rear wall with two apertures flanking doorway with baffle wall. The entrance and baffle are now part submerged. Unable to ascertain nature of forward facing aperture. Breeze-block and concrete build.
