C.10 sherds of later prehistoric pot recovered during excavation. Now in ram museum, exeter (quinnell).

Excavation in the 1930s recovered roman sherds in the upper deposits (macalpine woods).

Re-examination of site in 1991 retrieved 275 potsherds, some of which were roman. Also a bronze pin, 4cm long was recovered from a soil sample at 0.5m below ground level (tingle).
