Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Maps and Apportionments (Website). SDV349463.

Plot 337a is recorded as 'Burrow House' within the Seaton and Beer Tithe Apportionment.

The building is no longer present, but the area to the north is now labelled as 'The Barrow.'

The 1839-40 Tithe Map shows a dwelling on The Barrow at Axmouth and the occupier is named as the Reverend John Badcock. He lived at the manor house and used this as a superior beach-hut.

A small square building is shown within plot 337a on the Seaton and Beer Tithe Map of 1840, and is recorded as 'Burrow House' within the accompanying Tithe Apportionment of 1839. The building is not present on the First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map, but the area to the north is labelled as 'The Barrow' on both the First and Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps.
