Full description
Parkinson, M., 1985, The Axe Estuary and its Marshes, 27, 43 (Article in Serial). SDV122290.
A saltworking lease of 1709, confirmed in 1710, permits extension of saltworking into any area except 'the bowling green or plott heretofore used for that purpose'. Auction details of 1733 suggest the bowling green was located south of the saltworks.
