Full description

Ancient Monuments, 1991, Schedule Amendment, Cairn C (Schedule Document). SDV253568.

A group of three cairns on Ringmoor Down are scheduled:
c) SX 5627 6625 5.0m in diameter and 0.4m high, with a possible retaining kerb and slightly hollow centre. Scheduled: 10666.

(15/02/2005) This was scheduled by the Ancient Monuments department in 1990-91, but was identified in 2005 survey by English Heritage (along with MDV42769) as former tin pits that have been reoccupied by the military in the more recent past.
