(30/03/1950) The enclosure and hut circles which are discernible on the aerial photograph are very fragmentary. They are merely remains, and considered unsurvey able. Measurements of any description are impossible.
(19/08/1977) SX 60556253 A sub-oval enclosure of 0.25 hectares on a south-east facing slope at 338.0m OD. The much ruined walling, 2.0m thick and 0.4m high, is destroyed on the south side. Within the enclosure at SX 60546254 is an "L" shaped earth and stone wall approximately 7.0m by 3.5m, 2.0m thick and 0.5m high, encompassing a triangular levelled area. Surveyed 1:10 000 on MSD.

Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England, 1985, Aerial Photograph Project (Dartmoor) - Dartmoor Pre-NMP (Cartographic). SDV319854.

Enclosure visible on 1946 aerial photograph, with four hut circles, three attached to its walls.

Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP 133124 (Report - Survey). SDV277946.

(06/05/1993) Enclosure and stone hut circle forming part of a settlement including at least 13 hut circles and three enclosures. Interior measures 50m north-south by 43m east-west and is defined by a partly faced 2m wide and 0.6m high rubble wall. A gap in the southern length of the boundary wall may represent an original entrance. A 4m diameter ring of stones protruding through the turf on the west side of this gap is probably a stone hut circle. An L-shaped rubble bank measuring 7m east-west and 4m north-south, 1.8m wide and 0.7m high lies within the northern half of the enclosure. No positive identification of this feature was possible, although it may be the remnants of a rectangular building of uncertain date. Stone hut circles and enclosures lying north of this monument form parts of other scheduling proposals.
This enclosure lies on the south-western edge of the settlement and has been cut through by a post-medieval leat which leads from SX 6048 6289 to the Whitehill Yeo China Clay works. The leat channel lying within the monument measures 2m wide and 0.8m deep and the associated bank of material upcast during the cutting of the leat survives as a 1.9m wide and 0.5m high bank on the downslope side of the channel.

Butler, J., 1994, Dartmoor Atlas of Antiquities: Volume Three - The South-West, 181-2, Map 52, Figure 52.7 (Monograph). SDV137656.

Enclosure 'C' at 'Ford Brook Upper settlement'. The turf covered bank surrounding the enclosure has been dug into and rarely exceeds 0.3 metres high and tapering at both ends to the south. Some stones seem to be artificially arranged but too few remain to be identified as huts. A rubble bank towards the north end of the enclosure may well be the foundations of a later building.

Most of enclosure visible on aerial photograph.

Enclosure shown on modern mapping with a gap on the south side.

The interior of the enclosure measures 50 metres north to south by 43 metres east to west and is defined by a partly faced 2 metres wide and 0.6 metres high rubble wall. A gap in the southern length of the boundary wall may represent an original entrance. A 4 metres diameter ring of stones protruding through the turf on the western side of this gap represents a stone hut circle. An L-shaped rubble bank measuring 7 metres long east to west and 4 metres long north to south, 1.8 metres wide and 0.7 metres high, lies within the northern half of the enclosure. No positive identification of this feature was possible.
