One of three, possibly four cisterns on the southern side of the fort, dated 1804-1807. Rectangular with a vaulted limestone slab roof. In good condition.

The cisterns between the four southern barrack blocks survive.

Cistern 1. Situated between Barracks 1 and 2. One of three, possibly four cisterns interspersed between the southern barrack blocks and the store building and dating from the time, 1804-1807. All are rectangular in construction with a vaulted limestone roof. Cistern 1 is In very good condition.
