The cisterns between the southern barrack blocks survive and are still largely full of water.

Cistern 2. Situated between Barrack 2 and the store. One of three, possibly four cisterns interspersed between the southern barrack blocks and the store building and dating from the same time, 1804-1807. All are rectangular in construction with a vaulted limestone roof. Cistern 2 is In very good condition.
