Summary

One of three, possibly four cisterns on the southern side of the fort, dated 1804-1807. Rectangular with a vaulted limestone slab roof. In good condition.

The cisterns between the four southern barrack blocks survive and are still largely full of water.

Cistern 3. Situated between the store and Barrack 3. One of three, possibly four cisterns interspersed between the southern barrack blocks and the store building and dating from the same time, 1804-1807. All are rectangular in construction with a vaulted limestone roof. Cistern 3 is in good condition.
