Entrance gates and screen walls at Topsham Barracks.1959. Red brick walls. Wrought iron gates and lanterns. Other details: LBS: 420126.


Exeter Archaeology, 2001, Archaeological Assessment of a Proposed Development Site, Wyvern Barracks, Exeter, 3 (Report - Assessment). SDV342018.

During the night of 3-4 May, several bombs landed within or in close proximity to the Barracks. One 250 pound bomb landed near the entrance, demolishing a 2-storey officers' mess.
