Full description

Smith, G., 1990, A Neolithic Long Barrow at Uplowman Road, Tiverton., 15-26 (Migrated Record). SDV35536.

Twenty four flint and chert artefacts were recovered from the barrow ditch fills and from the old ground surface. These include 14 waste flakes or fragments, one obliquely blunted microlith, a microburin, a retouched flake, a flat core or ovate form, a piercing tool, 2 scrapers and 1 abruptly retouched narrow flakes. The assemblage ranges from the early Mesolithic to the late Neolithic in date.
