Full description
Pye, A. R. + Simpson, S. J. + Pearson, T., 1989, Archaeological Recording on the Fishacre to Ashcombe Gas Pipeline, South Devon, 6-7 (Report - non-specific). SDV336545.
Excavation in 1989 in advance of gas pipeline revealed a Romano-British ditch aligned east to west between two cropmarks. The ditch contained South Devon ware dating to the 1st to the 4th centuries AD, and a re-deposited shell midden in its upper fill. Other details: Figs 5 & 6 Plates 1 & 3.
