Full description
Pye, A. R. + Simpson, S. J. + Pearson, T., 1989, Archaeological Recording on the Fishacre to Ashcombe Gas Pipeline, South Devon, 6-7 (Report - non-specific). SDV336545.
Excavation in 1989 in advance of gas pipeline attempted to find evidence of cultivation by locating buried soils. One such undisturbed layer was found within colluvium. A sequence of Prehistoric pot and lithic material, including a Neolithic leaf shaped arrowhead, was obtained from the buried soil and the colluvium above and below it.
