'Stone' is marked on the Ordnance Survey map of 1880-1889.

HERALD EXPRESS, 1986, Boundary Stones to be Restored (Article in Serial). SDV325925.

Historic boundary stones round Totnes are to be restored by Devon County Council.
Totnes town councillor heard that the recent beating of the bounds was supported by 200 people but some problems were encountered finding some of the boundary stones. Some protection to be put around the stones on the highways.

Boundary stone marking the 1832 extended borough boundary by a little bridge which carries the road over Bourton Valley stream at SX80806107. Round-headed granite block incised T B B F B MAYOR 1882 1883. F.B. was Frederick Bowen, Mayor of Totnes, 1882-1883.
