Remains of Hall Folly, an 18th century summer house.
Field Investigation on 18th August 1977. At SX 63526007 the ruins of this summerhouse lie on the summit of a small hill at 275 metres above OD.

Hankin, C. F., 1977-1980, Harford Parish Checklist (Worksheet). SDV149931.

Site visited on 9th May 1978. Hall Pleasure House. Early maps including Donn 1765, mark a "Pleasure House" belonging to Hall, a house and farm near to Harford Bridge. The site is still recognisable in the plantation known as "Hall Plantation", but is now all overgrown with trees, and only slight vestiges of the old stonework can be seen. No description of the building appears to have been found. The house was evidently an 18th century structure probably put up in the time Hall was occupied by the Chudleigh family.
