The possible site of a Second World War Light Anti-Aircraft Artillery gun emplacement is visible on aerial photographs of 1945 as an inverted D-shaped sunken earthwork platform approximately 7 metres in diameter, immediately to the west of Renney Battery. The internal faces of the sunken platform appear very clear and pale, supporting the interpretation that the platform is revetted with stone or concrete. A rectangular structure visible approximately 3 metres west of the platform may be associated with the possible emplacement. The platform remains visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2007 and is partly depicted on the current Ordnance Survey digital base mapping. The rectangular structure is not visible and has probably been demolished. A similar emplacement is visible on aerial photographs of 1945 to the north-west of Renney Battery.
