Toll house near Torrington Station. On Exeter to Torrington road. Porch Other details: Plate 19, Fig 6.

A probably 19th century tollhouse at road junction. NGR given as SS80192.

In the fork of the Frithelstock and Bideford roads one mile west of Great Torrington. A good example with the porch intact and projecting side windows.

Visited 29/9/1995. Viewed from Furzebeam Hill there is a toll house standing at the road junction. This would appear to be the site referred to by Sheldon and the Ordnance Survey.

Two storey building with porch and projecting side windows typical of a toll house located in the fork of the Bideford and Frithelstock roads.
