Department of Environment, 1972, Honiton, 25 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV337401.

Dated 21/03/1972. Good early 18th century, 3 storey 5 window red brick front, rendered plinth, stone quoins, keystones, 1st floor band, eaves cornice. 3 dormers with original wood casements. Sash windows with exposed frames and glazing bars. Tuscan doorcase with bracket open pediment, 6-panel door with arched radial-bar fanlight. 2 storey wing left, steep slate roof, eaves band, stippled plaster 1st floor with 2 sash windows with exposed frames and glazing bars, ground floor garage front with 19th century wood case, altered 6-panel door with fanlight, right.

In High Street one of the buildings worthy of note is Number 62. Built of good red brick, it has 5 windows, stone quoins and keystones. The statutory list regards Numbers 38 to 62 (even), High Street as forming a particularly cohesive group. Maps, photograph.
