Full description
Department of Environment, 1972, Honiton (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV344078.
Probably 18th century altered, 3 storey, red brick, 2 sash window at 2nd floor without glazing bars, 1st floor splay bay, with wood cornice, without glazing bars. 19th century shop left, modern shop right.

The proposal is to refurbish the shop and to construct a new shop front. The existing shop front is poor and the proposals for the shop front would be an improvement. The staircase with a curved handrail should be retained, as should the bay window to the first floor, which is a horned sash window. Also to be retained are the windows to the kitchen and bathroom, and the doors to the bedrooms, as these are important to the historic fabric.
