Full description
Whitley, N., 1855, Settlement north of Ranny Brook (Plan - sketch). SDV137283.
Visted in September 1855. Plan appears to show this hut attached to hut circle to the north by a short length of bank.

Visited on 11th March 1993. Hut circle terraced into the hillslope and of the simple plan and rubble bank walling type. Interior measures 4.2 metres in diameter and is defined by a 1.5 metres wide wall standing up to 0.4 metres high. Doorway survives as a gap in the surrounding wall, is lined on the both sides and faces south. A curved boundary bank measuring 1.5 metres wide and 0.4 metres high links this hut to a hut to the north (MDV43757).

Hut Circle '7' of circa 4.0 metres diameter to the south of the enclosures at 'Ranny Brook' has been partly demolished. It is shown attached to the hut circle to the north by a curving wall.
