Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880s, Ordnance Survey (Cartographic). SDV848.

Site of 'Penhorwood' shown on OS 25" (1880s) map as a group of three buildings in an irregular shaped yard with a wide track to the north.


Ordnance Survey, 1938, 19NE. Revision of 1903 with additions in 1938. Provisional Edition (Cartographic). SDV335684.

Penhorwood Farm. Three buildings marked on OS 6" provisional (1938) map, but only two on OS 1:10,000 (1988) map. Other details: Provisional.

Settlement at Penhorwood was visible as a cropmark in 1984. Penhorwood Farm was recorded on the 1840 Horwood Tithe Map Apportionment with an orchard, garden, meadows & 'Barn Close'.
