Full description

Keene, B., 1984, Slag (Worksheet). SDV339505.

Considerable quantities of slag picked up during fieldwalking. Could indicate smelting in area. Iron of a tapped, bloomery slag type. Probably pre 16th century. Could possibly be Iron Age or Roman.
