Full description

Royal Air Force, 1946, RAF/CPE/UK/1890, 4284-5 (Aerial Photograph). SDV169268.

Visited on 19th May 1950. Hut circle 'X'? Walling is composed of small turf covered stones. No visible entrance.

(SX 5931 6613). The westernmost of three huts forming part of a partially enclosed settlement. Simple plan, rubble bank and earthwork walling type. Oval, 2m by 1.5m internally. Wall 1.3m wide, 0.3m high. A north facing gap in the wall may represent an original entrance.

Hut '2' of circa 6.2 metres diameter with an entrance slab still visible under the rubble on the north-east side. This hut has been converted into a shooting butt with the southern section missing.
