St. Matthias.1858 by salvin, rough limestone rubble with ashlar dressings. Low with nave, aisles and chancel. Curious north east turret. Rather clumbsy gothic. West front rebuilt by pearson 1894-5 with effective triple pointed arcade as porch. Interior has rich marble pulpit and reredos dating from pearson's alterations.(doe).
