Vis=2/9/1991 (wardle) possible barrow. Slight bracken covered mound, 10m diam. No evidence of ditch or bank (wardle).

SMR records possible barrow, described as a slight bracken covered mound 10 metres diameter. No evidence of associated ditch or bank. During field survey no mound identified at grid reference given. Area under long grass, and patchy gorse up to 2 metres high some places. Nearest features located are extraction pits and associated spoil mounds (see site 297) e.g. at SY 14603 96888 mound 7 metres by 3 metres lies less than 2 metres from pit 5 metres by 2 metres by 0.5 metre deep. No mounds were seen which did not seem to be related to a nearby pit.
