Full description

Department of Environment, 1989, Clovelly, 44 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV4533.

No 148.
Cottage. Part of a row. Probably 18th century, late 19th century addition to left of front. Rough-plaster and colourwashed, probably rubble walls; slate roof, hipped to left, gabled to right, squat brick ridge stack to left.
Plan: single room depth, central entrance hall with a room to each side, that to left heated, further added room to extreme left.
Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical 3 windows front, 2-light 19th century 12-pane casements. Central door opening, Nineteenth century plank door with a glazed panel, gabled slated hood with fretwork bargeboard, side-panels with wooden latticework. Addition to left with a large 6-pane sash window on the ground floor, first floor with no window openings.
