Full description
Department of Environment, 1989, Clovelly, 3 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV4533.
Roadside sign.1930 by architects Orphoot and Whiting of Bideford for Christine Hamlyn. Mahogany wood. Oblong sign with circular panel to centre, incised lettering:- "CLOVELLY CROSS FILLING STATION 300 YDS". Sign painted green with a red centre section with a yellow and red flame border. Circular green-painted wooden post, a reused telegraph pole, tapering wooden finial on top. Other details: LBS number 91168.
