Full description
Department of Environment, 1988, Parkham, 174 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV16647.
Hoops Inn, Hoops. Seventeenth century to right; extended to left in 19th century. Colourwashed render over stone and cob; gabled thatch roof; rendered stone end and ridge stacks. Seventeenth century 3-unit plan extended to 5-unit plan.2-storeys; 7-window range. Three gabled porches: two porches with 20th century casements flank porch with 20th century door. Timber lintels over 20th century casements with glazing bars. Rear: 19th century rear left wing and late 19th century range with artificial slate roof. Interior: room to right of centre (formerly 2 rooms) has 17th century ovolo-moulded beam and chamfered bressummer over open fireplace.
