Mention of an earthwork (now destroyed), near 'Shorestone' (probably Shoalstone) Point, Brixham.
Donn, B., 1965, A Map of the County of Devon, 1765 (Reprint) (Monograph). SDV336413.
Donn marks the 'Ruins of a Danish Castle' just south of Shoalstone Point.
County Borough of Torbay, 1967, Berry Head, 16, 19 (Monograph). SDV362520.
Possibly the site of one of Henry VIII's bulwarks.
