A shallow depression, shown as a drain on early os maps, observed during watching brief on sww pipeline. Followed a meandering course w along the valley floor, from the kink in the hedgebank n of prattshayes to the junction of the 2 leats (subsheets 1 and 2) at randell's green. Average width 3m, but e of the ford it widened into a shallow hollow, possibly a silted pond. Apparently the original bed of littleham brook (reed).
