Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1907, 138NW (Cartographic). SDV174398.
'Lifeboat House' marked on 1907 6 inch Ordnance Survey map but not on 1963 map.
Department of Environment, 1974, Salcombe, 24 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV155971.
Built 1867 and given by Richard Durant of Sharpham. Stone. Slate roof. Shaped Dutch gable ends surmounted by pointed finials. Inscription recording the gift set in pseudo-Venetian window effect below one gable end and above the life-boat doors. Two small gabled dormers to the longer sides.
