Bridge described as clapper bridge.

Portlane Bridge. Single span. Clapper bridge altered by removal of its two outer lintels, and their replacement with decorative brick arches.
Exeter Museums Archaeological Field Unit, 1993, Dartmoor Clapper Bridge Survey (Archive - Survey). SDV138745.
Visited 1st December 1993. Parapet walls of random coursed slate fragments, possibly contemporary with the brick arches. No evidence of widening or rebuild. Shown on Ordnance Survey 6 inch 1891 1st edition .
