Beacon Hill Cemetery contains a number of mounds which probably represent burials. There are six distinct parallel lines of mounds running north-south. The mounds are circa 1.0 metre long and aligned east-west. One group of four in the east corner could be the sailors of the Hannah More which sank in January 1866. To the west of these is a line of 14 mounds, then a line of 9 (6 then 3), then a line of 8 (3 then 5) flanking three Harman tombstones. There are 2 mounds north of the chapel and 8 in the area between the chapel and the re-erected post-Roman memorials.
