Full description
Office of Works, Marisco Castle, Lundy (Schedule Document). SDV339346.

Garden plots north-east of castle. Grose's plan of 1776 shows an enclosed area north-east of castle marked as 'present garden' with 'cow house' attached. The walls of the plot still remain but not the cow house. Gardens are now meadow. Roughly-coursed granite outer wall requires underpinning and consolidation, and the drystone inner wall is partly collapsed and in need of repair. The footings of the 'cow house' are visible as low stony banks. Surveyed in July 1988 by the National Trust. Other details: 101,161.
