Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950, SX57SE19 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV219145.

Hut circle A measures 8.0 meters in diameter, with an average wall height of 0.5 meters. This circle is composed of large granite boulders, some of which are 0.7 – 0.8 meters in height. Its condition is fairly good and has an entrance on the south side.

Hut circle within a large partially enclosed settlement. Terraced into the hill slope and is of the simple plan, single and double orthostat walling type. Interior measures 5.6 meters in diameter and is defined by a 1.5 meter wide wall standing up to 0.8 meters high. A linear rubble scatter, leading south-south-west for 15 meters from this building may represent a boundary wall.

Hut circle number 2 (SX55577510). Measures 6.6 meters in diameter internally and walls survive to a height of 0.6 meters and width of 1.1 meters with a possible entrance on the south side. Other details: 12 (Fig 4).
