Summary

Ta 770 fieldname stone burrow (ta tm). Vis=10/9/1992 (simpson + noble) a field of permanent pasture, some shallow pits and low ? spoil heaps. No feature suggestive of a burial mound. See sketch in blackdowns hills archive (emafu). Vis=21/10/1992 (griffith + simpson). Vis=13/11/1992 (crew, crew, griffith, henderson + simpson) sample hole in low mound produced a very small piece of slag, an additional piece of slag was retrieved from the trackway (finds = context 513). Earthworks may have been associated with nearby ironworking (emafu).
