Vis=25/08/1992 (simpson and noble). There are low earthworks showing the position of the boundaries enclosing the cottage/farm as shown on the map of 1763. There may be a slight rise or platform in the area of the former building. There is some modern brick rubble here from a shed demolished in 1961. This is the only building known of by the present farmers. A depression indicating the former position of a trackway is visible approaching the site of the cottage from the se corner of the field (see sketch in archive).
