Site of 'stoneacre cottages' shown on os 25" (1880s) map as two detached rectangular buildings on the southeast side of a conifer plantation (os).

Vis=26/08/1992 (simpson and noble). There is a terrace cut into the hillslope at the base of the very steep slope of the upper part of the hill. The area is now very boggy (see sketch in archive).
