Summary

Hut circle of 7 metres diameter with walls 1.6 metres wide by 0.9 metres high at the junction of four boundaries within Standon Down settlement. A small structure of 1.8 metres by 1.4 metres and 0.5 metres high built into the south-eastern part of this hut circle is probably a medieval shepherd's shelter. Not excavated in 1901

(17/07/1992) Hut in Standon Down settlement. SX 5496 8246 Terraced into hillslope. Internal diameter measures 7m. Rubble wall 1.6m wide, 0.9m high. Boundary walls lead north-west and south from this hut. Not excavated by Dartmoor Exploration Committee (DEC).
A small structure (1.8m by 1.4m by 0.5m high, south-facing door) built into the south-eastern part of the hut circle is probably a medieval shepherd's shelter.
