CLAUGHTON, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV4554.

Building shown but not marked on os 6" (1903) map (os). Main shaft at bremley was pumped by a 42ft diam water wheel. By 1856 this was reaching the limit of its power (claughton).

In 1877 a waterwheel of 11.25m diameter was installed in a new pit on the site of the old copper company's pumping wheel to drive pumps in the engine shaft (bodman).
