Site visit 1st March 2004. Milestone of the Ashburton and Totnes Tunpike Trust under gorse on the grass verge beside a lay-by on the A38 road half a mile east of Marley Head. Worn limestone marker from the 1820s inscribed 'From/Ash/Burton/VI/Miles'. The stone is located very close to the A38.
