Full description

1906, Untitled Source (Report - Survey). SDV50043.

'levels (whetstone)' marked on os 6" (1890). Vis=24/8/1992 (reed + stead) a circular building in a ruined condition about 3.5m in diam survives to about 2m high, of mortar bonded local flint stone, a structure possibly associated withthe whetstone mining (emafu). Vis='old level' marked on os 6" (1906) map (os).
