An irregularly shaped pit was visible as earthworks on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The visible earthworks correspond with a pit depicted as an Old Clay Pit in this location on the OS First Edition 25 inch map. At the time of survey the pit also remains depicted on the OS MasterMap.
As such it would not normally be recorded by the survey. However, it has been recorded as the extractive pit probably influenced the later use of this plot as an orchard, in the post-medieval period. The earthwork has not been transcribed.

Ordnance Survey, 2017, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV359962.

A disused pit is depicted.
