Full description

'Wisdom Corn Mill' is depicted on the late 19th century historic map.

Wisdome Mill was a corn mill, but is now a private house. There are still the remains of a wood and iron overshot wheel, which had hornbeam cogs for silent running. The leat is now dry.

The house of 16th century origin is rubble with a slate roof and plastered rubble stacks. Pointed granite doorways.

Mid-19th century mill house. Granite with rendered end wall. Slate roof with gabled ends. Two storeys. Two bays. Sash windows with glazing bars and flat red brick arches. Central rendered chimney stack. Doorway in west end wall and pigeon holes in gable above.
Water mill adjoining rear (north). Circa 18th century. Stone rubble. Slate roof with gabled ends. Two storeys and loft. The doorway at the front has granite chamfered frame with high 4 centred arch, possibly reused and the mill may have earlier origin. Iron waterwheel at rear (north).
